Well... the only problem with this picture is lighting. The cut is nice, and you have all your elements together. However, your horse looks like it is standing in the sun, not in a storm. I would suggest darkening it (with the burn tool) and then using the burn tool to lighten the places the lightning would illuminate (ex.-the top side of the face, the nose, the hind legs).

Hope this helps... I probabaly made no sense.
